What is DBU/GUI?

DBU/GUI offers 'explorer' like features for the System i AS/400 file systems and allows the user to maneuver the screen conveniently with the mouse or keyboard via buttons and tab panels. File properties & field information is just a click away!

DBU/GUI was developed using JAVA, which means that the product operates on any operating system with a compliant java virtual machine. Using a TCP/IP connection, DBU information from the System i database is presented thru the graphical user interface.

DBU/GUI uses ZERO interactive resources and has all the functionality of the green-screen version!

Why DBU and DBU/GUI?

With DBU you can let some of your staff continue with the traditional green screen and some venture into the DBU/GUI world. Update DBU

DBU software installations with a release date of 03/02/06 or later have the facility to use a command called DBUPTF to update DBU with the latest modifications within the current version. Find out how.
