Here's a tool that is sure to help. NestRPG is used to place nesting information in a source member.
A compile listing shows the nesting of all conditional operators on the right hand side of the source listing. NestRPG puts this same information in the source member, saving compiles and compile time. In addition to its nesting feature, NestRPG also tracks the statement number of each BEGSR, EXSR, CAB.., and GOTO tag, etc. This allows the programmer to know exactly where to find them without having to scan.
The operation of NestRPG is simple. On a command line, key in NestRPG and prompt. Fill in the necessary parameters and <enter>. That's all there is to it, bring up your source member and start to work.
A source member can also be nested and printed/partially printed with NestRPG. In addition to the nesting and references, a summary of the location of all references will be printed at the bottom of the list. It's that simple!
